Q3: What kind of bows can I shoot, and what about if I'm left or right handed?
We recognize that the archery bug can bite anyone and anytime, and once you get it, you may want to eventually get your own equipment. One of the unique things about our services, is that we have traditional recurve, compound, long bow, and Mongolian style bows to try. While our stock of each style may vary, we try to accommodate the request to try any of these 4 types. We have ambidextrous, left, and right handed bows.
Q4: How long are the lessons
Each lesson session lasts 1 hour. However, participants can book up to two consecutive sessions back to back.
Q5: What kind of strength do I need to shoot?
We have bows ranging from 20lb-45lbs.
Q6: What kind of locations can I book a lesson at?
There are several public archery ranges in several locations across Portland (PDX) and Vancouver (VCR). However, currently our main and only location is within the Shillapoo Wildlife Refuge near Vancouver Lake.

Eventually, we will expand into PDX, at Washington Park Archery Range, PCC - Rock Creek Campus, Archery Range, and Chinook Landing - Archery Range. Please note, Portland locations are not available at this time.
Q7: Can I bring my own equipment?
If you have your own equipment, it must be in good working order and will be inspected by the instructor prior to start of lesson. If your equipment is approved, cost of lesson per hour is $30 per person.
If equipment is not in workable or operational order, the instructor reserves the right to not authorize/deny it’s usage, and you will have to pay the difference of a full lesson utilizing the rental equipment.
